This is a drawing by the Romanticism era painter Prud'hon. It is drawn on a blueish paper with some chalk and charcoal. I believe it is a study for a future painting he was working on.

And finally here is a work by Jackson Pollock called Untitled 1948-49. This is a gesture of sorts where Pollock used his famous drip/pour technique to achieve a flowing, undulating figure that is expressed in a thin seemingly continuous line.
